Physical ailments are not curses, punishments, or signs from "above." They are physical in nature, that is why they are called "physical," and as such have a physical cause. Hopefully someday we will find what that cause is, so that we don't have to suffer any longer. But that will only happen through cooperation: by working together, sharing information, providing the medical community with facts. Then we can form rational hypotheses and theories and test them scientifically so that we can finally find a cure.
Speaking of which, in case anyone missed my previous message, the Michigan Head-Pain & Neurological Institute is conducting research on a possible treatment. Patients at least 18 years old and currently in cycle with at least 1 headache per day are eligible, and study-related medical care is provided, plus compensation. The MHNI is run by Dr. Joel Saper, considered by many to be the leading neurologist in the U.S. I think this is a great opportunity for us sufferers, because of course we could all benefit from a proven cure. We should all consider participating in any research and cooperate with those in the medical community who understand the severity of clusters. I know that a lot of you are down on the medical community because we tend to get blown off by many health proffessionals, but not all doctors are like that. So let's work with the ones who aren't.
