I was going back in the post today after I read Bennies post. I don’t like to go back because it brings up bad memories. As I read them it was like reliving the last year all over. CH.com its kind of like a on line diary.
The reason for my post is this. My husband and children first posted here. When I first came here my family found me on the patio where I had hit my head on the floor. I was out cold in a pool of blood. I had broke my nose and messed up my face bad. My husband wrote in one of his post that I was in constant pain for 28 hours. My clusters changed in May and they were the worst I ever had. Drummer was my first friend here. He kept telling me Your clusters are different the way they go up and down but he knew how bad I hurt cause the man stayed on the phone with me during a cluster we couldn't talk all he could do was listen to me cry. I took a little offense to him saying my clusters were different was this man telling me he did not believe I had clusters.
It turned out that I not only had clusters but an aneurysm on top of that. Drummer and his wife made phone calls to my neurologist, to get me in to see him faster.
I am not sure what Drummer told them but they saw me fast. When the doctor read my MRI he found an aneurysm that the hospital missed. I was lucky it was a very small. But I was dealing with clusters and a headache from the aneurysm and that was making for some really hellish pain. Think of having a cluster for 28 hours straight no relief. That’s what was happening to me. The pain went up and down and would not leave stayed between a 6 and 10 at all times. This went on for a month before it was found. I was saying clusters to the doctors and they were treating me for that. They were not really looking for any thing more. When Drummer told me my headaches was different. I brought this to the doctors attention and that’s when they found the problem. When people point out that Your headaches are different don’t get mad, because that’s not what anyone is trying to do. That one statement Drummer made to me helped the Doctors find the answer. More than likely Drummer saved my life.
Some people have gotten mad and left the site because they were told that their pain was different from ours. Instead of getting mad people should use this as advice. Drummer never said I did not have cluster he said my pain was different.
I am glad I did not get mad and leave the site over that and I am sure glad I told my doctor. I now tell my doctors everything and hold back nothing.
