Somewhere on the internet I found other works and info from medical personnel lamenting the loss of LSD, psilocybin and even Peyote as major tools in the treatment of children who are autistic or who are in emotional/mental ruts of various descriptions. I think it was in one of the links from the Erowyd Vaults -- Enthogenics.
Have you or anyone else found this site? I had it bookmarked but lost it when my AOL screwed up.
Also, many of the children treated with small doses were cancer/leukemia patients and were helped "immeasurably" in handling the pain and trauma caused by their disease.
The other notable use that caught my attention was in the treatment of criminally-minded individuals. It seems that the experiences brought about by ingestion of higher doses of LSD, Peyote and/or Psilocybin in controlled environment by qualified personnel can and usually do result in a major shift AWAY from criminal thinking or anti-social behavior.
They have been used to treat depression, varieties of phobia, many types of pain, emotional trauma and certain chronic illnesses.
The case for allowing the use of these substances for medical use is overwhelming. If there is a reason why they are denied to us it can only be for one of two reasons...complete ignorance or Complete Ignorance.
So, where did you send your stuff and would you recommend some of us doing the same?
