According to that article Imitrex and oxygen are
equally effective in aborting the pain of CH - AND
in making those naughty CGRP, etc. neurotransmitters behave themselves. But don't you wonder how this can be so? What's the connection between oxygen and the triptans?
Is it just a coincidence they both ease CH attacks?
I'll bet if we knew the answer to this we would be in better shape. I have about decided that nothing about CH makes any real sense. It simply is.
