- Get to the O2 at first signs of an attack.
The longer you wait, the less effective will it be!
- Use a proper mask. The nose thingy is (almost) useless.
To obtain the highest O2 concentration possible, the mask should not have additional holes around the inlet (as the standard issue masks have) as these are designed to suck in air.
The preferred mask is of the non-rebreather type, with a reservoir bag. With such a mask a flow rate of 6-8 liter/min is usually enough, with an inferior mask 10-12 l/min may bee needed.
Much success with the oxygen!
