the pupil of the affected side shrinks.
But the shrinking and the enlargement may be due to many kind of medications. Many meds for CH interact with size of the pupils.
Miosis (shrinking of the pupil) could be induced by:
(including the cocaine and hero during the shot)
ACEPROMAZINE
CHLORPROMAZINE CHLORHYDRATE
CODEINE
CODETHYLINE CAMPHORATE
DESERPIDINE
LEVOMEPROMAZINE
METHOSERPIDINE
MORPHINE
NALORPHINE CHLORHYDRATE
OXYCODONE CHLORHYDRATE
PENTAZOCINE
PERICIAZINE
PETHIDINE CHLORHYDRATE
RESERPINE

In the opposite case mydriasis (dilation of the pupil) could be induced by:
Overdose of cocaine or hero (still not treated with Narcan)
Many meds (too many to list here but, for CH I can remember the antidepressant AMITRYPTYLINE. (Brand name: Elavil)
and then.... all ATROPINE meds (generally used to dilate the pupil during optical exams) and many and many more....
After this list your pupil could be in miosis....:-)
Ciao for now Carl
