When I sense a cluster approaching I start taking Verapamil 40mg x 3 a day and this seems to work for me. After several weeks I reduce the dosage to 20mg x 3 a day and then finally I stop taking them. The problem is that every time I stop taking them I immediately get symptoms similar to those of the cluster headache, pain down the right hand side of my face, neck, ear and twitching in my eye. Has anyone else experienced cluster related symptoms when coming off Verapamil?
