My husband's doctor put him on Prednisone for his
clusters and it stopped them. He has
taken Maxalt, Percasett, Vicadin and Demerol for
the pain - none of which did anything for him.
The dosage was high at first, 6 pills for about a
week and a half. Then tapering off, 5 for two
days, 4 for two days, 3 for two days, 2, 1 down
to zero. While he is not a big fan of steroids,
he had no problem with this because it made the
headaches stop.
