The Dr.'s office was closer than home, so I walked in and told the receptionist to tell my doc that I was having a cluster attack. She looked at me, backed up to the wall in fear at my appearance and asked what that was. I yelled at her that the doctor knows. The waiting room was full, but I got a shot of demerol within two minutes. Cluster attacks ARE emergencies. My wife has driven me to the ER many times in the middle of the night.
