You don't just feel better. You feel *good*! It's not exhaustion or tiredness or numbness. It's a real, honest-to-goodness, genuine, legal high. It makes me feel so good that I can go to work even after a night in the emergency room. Sometimes, though, the sleepiness is too much and I basically just pass out in my chair (I sit, rock, writhe, twist, squirm, and moan or scream instead of pacing). And that's *without* any extra narcotic help of any kind! Of course, now that I know about the narcs, I *almost* wish that I would go into an episode just to see what the euphoria is like when I'm stoned. Like Sly Stone said, "I want to take you higher!" My doc told me about another patient of his who was so into that endorphin high that he didn't want to take any meds at all, lest they fuck it up.
