REAL good observation
I'd take it one step further - for me anyway, CH is one of the leading building blocks of whatever my "personality" is -
and the whole CH thing has MANY aspects that shape us, directly & indirectly:
effects of medication
adjustments to disruption of lifestyle
philosophy(or lack thereof) developed in dealing w/pain
direction of MAJOR life activities (jobs, pocketbooks, family affairs, to name a few)
CH is a BIG part of WHO I AM - and it works much better for me to just ACCEPT that and try to build from there, in turn, that is a big reason I focus so much on mental & spiritual "therapies" as much as on meds & physical techniques
example:
I know that I am much more patient and tolerant when I am having the clusters (but not during actual attacks of course) - I can actually feel the difference - this is probably because it's pretty humbling to be forced to realize that some tiny biofluke of nature can COMPLETELY control your existence
but - WHATEVER WORKS - as long as we don't hurt other folks, or hurt ourselves worse than CH in the meantime
wishing everyone a peaceful, painfree rest tonight ! gary
