My ex-wife wanted a divorce after my accident, she is a compulsive spender, and I think she thought her source of income got broke, we agreed on a non-attorney divorce and got the forms, but I was to ill to feel them out so she hires an attorney, in three months this number grew to five, they fought among each other and ran up over $12,000 in bills that came out of my pocket, the court appointed guardian ad litems for the kids, even though the kids said over and over again they are going to stay with me, I had no say in their appointment, I contacted the State Bar, more phuching attorneys, and got nowhere, just was court ordered to pay the bill, was told by the state bar to hire more attorneys to fight the attorneys bills I already had.
That old joke, never enough work for one attorney in a small town, but more than enough work for a half a dozen, is very true, I requested itemized bills from each one, it was all bullshit.
Well now my ex-wife is begging to come back, she blew her cash from the property settlement already and cost my family over $150,000, I told her, I don't think so.
In my accident settlement, I was advised to get pictures taken of all my injuries, my son took the pictures and it cost us 8 bucks in film and developing, my accident attorney needed reprints, that I already had, he charged me $200.00, don't tell me about attorneys.
