... even though family members can't know what the pain feels like, we are more than just sympathetic. It's a whole different kind of pain, watching your beloved roll around, rock, bang his head, cry, moan, and wish for death to come. Emotionally it's the most draining thing I've ever experienced -- have been doing so for 17 years. There have been times when I've actually prayed that God would take him Home so he wouldn't have to hurt any more, even though I can't possibly imagine life without him. My heart aches for all you who suffer the unmerciful misery of CH's, and also with all you supporters out there who are so impotent to help the ones you love when they are suffering.
