After 3 yrs. of treatment w/ every imaginable
medication and method listed on this board,
my neurologist says he's at the 5th level
(whatever that means) and honestly doesn't
know what to else do. He's one of top CH specialist
a Cornell NY Hosp.
Had blood tested yesterday for lithium level to
see if I can tolerate more.
The attacks are more frequent and the clusters
are becoming continuious.
Only prednisone helps which he will no longer prescribe.
He cautioned against using more than 2 Imitrex injections/day
but when a severe attack happens I don't care and prefer death.
1/2 injection doesn't abort attack.
Now he wants me to have MRI and scan to determine
if Sansert is causing damage. (take 4/day)
Although insurance pays most meds and neuro provides
some samples, still costs a bundle- this condition is
costing $200/mo in out of pocket expenses.
I'm 46yo and every yr. it is getting worse.
I'm fear it's permanant and only have a few years
to live due to all these drugs.
