Here in the Colonies, Mother's Day is the second Sunday in May, the 14th this year.
This just happens to correspond to the date of the George Strait Country Music Festival, featuring Tim McGraw, Martina McBride, Kenny Chesnie, Mark Chestnut and Asleep at the Wheel here in my hometown. It's at the football ('Merican style, with the funny shaped ball) stadium and, since I already have field-level tickets (about 40 yd line, I think), I want to thank you for educating me as to the English Mother's Day.
Happy Mother's Day, Mom (and all you other mom's)!!
Now, don't bug me when I forget in May...I'll be busy!
