Well I hate to be the odd man out but I've had CH for 20 years, am a rightie, and the attacks have mainly been on my left. Can only recall one attack on the right.
That is until 2.5 yrs ago. I had the normal left side attack for 6 wks and just as I thought it was over, it begin anew on the right and lasted another 6 weeks. My doc thought it might signal that the episodes were fading. Had the next attack 9 months later and it was the mildest ever by far. It only lasted 2 weeks and the pain rated only a 4. That was almost 2 years ago...the longest pain-free period of my life.
Although I worry their returning with every odd sensation in my head, I'm enjoying the respite and keeping my fingers crossed.
