I 've had these since '72 and have used Prednisone and currently using Verapamil. I don't know about this being used all the time, certainly not Prednisone. If you don't have high blood pressure, I can't figure you would stay on this unless you have these year round. Prednisone works for me (hate the crap)but I am currently using Sansert, Periactin and Verapamil in the 240 mg. I don't know of any long term effects from it, but why would they keep you on it unless you just get them out of blue so to speak at any time of year or day or night? It's not that effective for me by itself.
