From reading the messages here, it has become obvious that CH cause suffering to so many and in so many different ways. I always thought nothing could be worse than what my husband goes through, but now I see I am WAY wrong. His headaches are, I guess, what you call episodic. He gets them about once a year, sometimes for a month or two, sometimes longer. One year it was for eight months straight, every day, multiple times, and I thought nothing could be worse. Now I see that many of you suffer chronically, all year, every year. My heart aches for you. Right now Bill (my husband) is in his fourth or fifth week of a cycle and it is getting worse daily. The O2 isn't helping as much as it did before. Last night was the worst, at least for this cycle -- an all-nighter, basically. But I notice that many of you have these headaches for hours at a time. Bill's typically hit hard and fast, but go away within 10-30 minutes, usually closer to 10 or 15. That probably sounds like paradise to a lot of you. Although they are of relatively short duration, they are very intense, and they come back frequently -- in a typical day during a cycle, he gets five or six during the day and another five or six at night. I'm learning from this site of many meds he hasn't tried, so if anything "new" works for him I'll let you know. Thanks to all who offered me encouragement and support.
