I know there's no comfort for me to say I know
what you are going through, but I have been cluster
headache free now for two years. I started to get cluster
headaches when I was nineteen (episodes 12-18 mos apart)
and I am now 34. I found a site (of which
I lost the bookmark) that
discussed the possibility of a connection between
the artery behind the nose (as you can see I'm not
of the medical profession) and cluster headaches.
I went to see an ENT (ears,nose,throat) specialist
and discussed the info I found. He was skeptical
that it may work but he did say there was an
obstruction of some sort (bone or something). He
agreed to do the procedure and I have been free
of headaches for two years. As you know, many
people have many ideas of what causes these
headaches and many suggested treatments. I can only
cross my fingers and hope the procedure done to me
will end the headaches. I don't have my medical
records available to me now but if this has not already been
discussed with you and you would like to know more
specifics, I can try and get something for you. Let
me know if your interested. My cure for the time
being is HOPE, and your only comfort now is knowing
that they will end soon. Take care.
