I hate MRI's, that ten foot long two foot diameter tube they stick you in, these are low res machines that hit you with a .5-1 tesla magnetic field and after you spend over an hour in these coffins, the doc says nothing showed up. That is changing with fMRI, four different 6 tesla coils run constantly at different frequency bands with four pickups for 3-D for up to six times the resolution and crank out scans at 26 frames per second, this means an older MRI that took over an hour can now be done in 3 seconds, I can live with that, wonder how long my clinic will take to write off their old one and get a new type? Scheduled for more MRI's and I hate those. Anyone see one of these?
