Traci, there's a ton of discussion here on abortives, you may have to go back further in the letters. You didn't mention what abotive your husband uses, but I'll tell you what works for me. At the first sign of a cluster I use oxygen,it usually works pretty well. If i'm out, and not in reach of o2, or if it doesn't work in a reasonable amount of time, I use imitrex nasal spray 20mg. I'm lucky, in that it works just about every time. It doesn't for everyone, unfortunatly. The injections are better for me, they work very fast, less than 10 mins. They also cost twice as much, so I get along with the spray. I also tried the imitrex pills, but found them to be useless in my case. I hope your husband finds something thats works reliable enough, to give him the confidence to lead his life, with the freedom we all deserve. In my case it is the imitrex, but different people need different treatments. I hope that he and everyone else here can find theirs. Good Luck
