Hello All!
I've just discovered this site. I've been suffering from clusters for 27 years now. I hadn't had a headache for 4 1/2 yrs. until about 6 weeks ago. They started out very mildly this time around, lasting only about 20 minutes and never a full blown attack. But, for the past couple weeks, I'm getting them more frequently, about 4 per day, every 6 or 8 hours or so. I've tried every medication available over the years and have just now started taking Imitrex. I don't get any good results in the pill form. I've only tried the injection once (a free sample the doc gave me) and it knocked the pain out in about 7 minutes. Of course, my HMO will only pay for 18 pills per month, so I guess I'll have to wait another 2 weeks to move on to the nasal spray or injection. This is absolutely the worst bout of headaches I've ever had. Just when I thought that I might have "outgrown" them, they come back with a vengance. I'm losing sleep, missing work, not eating right. I walk around with a dull thud in my head 24 hrs. a day. I should be dancing any minute now...it's been a few hours since the last one. Thanks for listening.
Mark
