I've been here nearly a year now. In that time, I've come to know many of you, and meet a few. We've laughed, debated, argued, shared, discussed and even fought at time.
Now, it my turn to say Thank You. After 11 months of emotional hell, my divorce was final today. I don't think I'd have made it this long without you.
In particular:
DJ, for letting me vent on the board last year when my wife announced she wanted out.
Amanda and Dave, for jumping into the breach when my ex posted a particularly nasty message about me, and to DJ (again) for breaking his unbreakable rule and deleting that slander from the board.
To BobP and hub for making me laugh, sometimes when I needed it more than they could ever know.
To Riccardo, for his humor and Italian lessons.
To Kip, just for being Kip...the 'old master' of the board.
To Garyg and JackBoyd for distracting me from my troubles with some incredibly enjoyable and mentally challanging discussions.
To Cathy, whose departure from ch.com will forever be represented by the hole in my heart.
To jonny, for backing me up and bucking me up.
To Doug, for all he does and deals with, and for holding his head high throughout.
To carld, for reminding me others have bigger problems, but mostly for his creativity.
To drummer, for just about all of the above.
To Bernadette, for her words of inspiration.
To everyone else, just for being you and being here.
And most especially, to Elaine, the single most loving, caring, sharing human being her Creator ever produced. She lifted me from the depths of emotional hopelessness more times than I can count.
Despite the problems, disagreements and occasional fights, ch.com IS a family, and it's a damn great one.
