Got my last one 12/4/97 that broke a bad cycle, slept for 27 hours, my neuro only uses this as a last resort, something about the deep sleep and reduced bodily functions can break a CH cycle, it worked for me, also read about a study at the U of Texas where they were taking accident victims, doing a partial freezing, think it was reducing the body temperature down to 55 F if I recall correctly for a two week period in an attempt to permit the body to go into a slow cure, some claimed it works, but it sounds scary if the brain is still active in that state, but I guess they have a deep sleep.
On my last DV shot, the nurse made the comment that I have must of been in severe cluster pain as I never flinched when I got the shot, suppose to be a painful shot, but I never felt it, just couldn't wait for 20 minutes to go by to get rid of that head pain, they won't let me go until they checked me for a reaction, that means that my two sons and daughter had to drag me into the house and dump me in bed, the lights go completely out, the pain goes away, and sleep, sleep, sleep, I do get a bad hangover, but nothing compared to a CH. Feel great 24 hours after awakening.
