The wire was about 1 1/2" long attached to a small plastic handle, came in a sealed bag, doc took one and stuck me with it, the end was carefully rounded as to not scar the passage, the membrane in my daugther nose, not very far up had grown over and was paper thin, just a very tiny drop of blood came out, nothing like when one of your kids has a nose bleed, the actual procedure lasted just seconds and the area was deadened, if you can handle a 1/2 level CH, I am sure you won't have any problems, just lie back and relax, and best wishes.
