used to treat bipolar or if the doses are different, it made a zombie out of my ex-wife, at the insistence of her doctor, she was on it for over a year, she put on over 100 pounds and was sleeping over 20 hours a day, my youngest daughter was six years old at the time, we her family liked it, because it was finally quiet and peaceful in out home. My neuro suggested I try it for CH's, I told him about my wife, and that someone has to earn a living and take care of the kids, he agreed that I would have the same effects, my wife had to be taken off of it has it was causing her severe complications, I don't recall, think it was liver damage or something, that was once the most beautiful caring woman in the world, she went from 120 to over 275 pounds on lithium and it was very difficult to get her to the clinic, no exercise and lots of weight to haul around, she couldn't get out of the car without help, off the lithium, she went into a ramage again with constant yelling and screaming about everything, I see others on this site taking it for CH's and just wonder how it affects them? She had a complete memory loss on lithium and was like a vegetable.
