After suffering with cluster headaches for nearly ten years and trying every conceivable treatment known to man, I have finally found a cure (for myself, at least) that causes no unpleasant side effects. Previously, the only medication that I could depend on to abort a cluster attack was Prednisone; however, that drug has some very nasty side effects as most of you who have taken it can attest. About two years ago, I was researching headaches on the Internet and came across a post from a guy who swore he found a cure for his clusters: THE COMBINATION OF PROZAC AND SANSERT. I was skeptical, but decided to give it a try as I had vowed never to take Prednisone again. I talked my doctor into prescribing 20 mg Prozac capsules and 2 mg Sansert tabs, to be taken every 12 hours, which I began to take at the onset of a cluster cycle in the Fall, 1996. To my amazement, I did not get a single cluster headache that fall! It was my first headache-free fall since 1987! I thought it may have been a fluke, so when the next cycle began the following spring, I immediately started taking the Prozac and Sansert combo twice a day for about a month. Again, no headaches whatsoever! And since I began this treatment two years ago, I HAVE HAD NO CLUSTER HEADACHES!!! I am convinced that this is the cure for cluster headaches -- for me, at least. Of course, it may not work for everyone. Good luck in finding YOUR cure! Benny
