I've had CH since, oh about 1994, not too bad in the beginning though I did have a 2 year break from 1998 till now, am in my 3rd week and it is definately not the same, I've been averaging about 4-6 a day and they are in the 7-10 range. Been on Prednisone and the whole time and getting off of it as the side effects are getting more pronounced. Prednisone worked but had to taper off about a week ago and wow, major rebounds and major hell. Imitrex nasal works for about 4 hours and then it comes back. Verapamil (SP?) hasn't kicked in yet, though, I'm due to see a specialist to see about getting an MRI to elimate anything else. Only thing I noticed is that before I was able to take the pain somewhat and at least function, been off of work off and on since it started and finally had to take off this week, they were so bad. That more than anything sucks. Though my episodes only lasted about 4-6 weeks, this is not in the same category as before, they are definately A LOT WORSE!
