There are definite connections between hormones and migraines; I am living proof. However, in my case it appears that too much estrogen and/or too little can trigger my migraines (the same week every month). I personally have not seen any connection whatsoever between hormones and clusters except for suffering more during my period when I am in a cluster cycle. I have never found any prevetative for my clusters but am currently taking inderal for the migraines with good success.

The only other time that I get migraines besides around my period is when I am in a cluster cycle. I get clusters by night and migraines by day regardless of my menstrual cycle.

I really think that there is just so much more we need to know to get this all figured out and that much more research is needed. The testosterone angle is interesting but there has to be more than that; possibly somthing no one has even thought of yet. That's why I visit these pages and hope more CH sufferers log on and share. Maybe someone can see a pattern somewhere.

At least we don't have to suffer alone anymore.
