The term "metal disease" is history, I have been corrected by this many times, but to me it indicates a condition other than emotional, an emotional state can be adjusted for by logic and reasoning, a metal condition cannot to clarify my conception, the correct term now is "chemical imbalance", a disarrangement if you may that affects the behavior of a person and the person is not responsible for their actions, an extremely difficult "condition" to live with if a loved one is afflicted with it, and similar to CH's, it's a drug guessing game in an attempt to control it and speaking from experiences, the wrong drugs can send the person into unbelievable behaviour states (like dropping her pants and going to the bathroom all over the house or beating the neighbors parked car with a baseball bat to name a few). As to whether these (mental related) chemical imbalances are similar to what causes CH's, I don't think anyone has the answer at this time, one thing for sure, it's darn right frustrating, maybe thing will be better in 50 years, maybe tomorrow.
