Check your state laws. In La., we have a donor form on the back of our drivers license. It would definitely be advantageous to make a will, and put that in the will, and then tell all family, and friends about it. Once you are gone, the brain doesn't last long. In just hours, in turns mushy, and it probably wouldn't do much good. It would also be wise to tell your Dr. that treats you now. If you have more than one, type each a letter to put in your file(s). They will be called if you dearly depart, so they could get the brain rolling. If your state accepts living wills, get one and send it to all the hospitals you commonly go to, listing that donation. There is no way you can over prepare, and if there is a little hesitation, it may be too late.
