I was diagnosed with panic attack/anxiety disorder about two years ago. I now take a very low dose of prozac and xanax to control those symptoms, but for the past year I have been experiencing one-sided neck and back to eye socket headaches that vary in intensity throughout the day and may last for two days (beginning at night). I also get a stuffy or runny nose, almost allergy-like symptoms. Antihistamines exacerbate the pain. I feel it may be a new manifestation of my anxiety or a product of the birth-control pills I recently began taking. My doctor has suggested that I take a low dose of estrogen on the days I should take a sugar pill to see if this eleveates my pain. Any suggestions? I am new to the board and am clueless as to where I begin to get help or even if I belong here? What kind of doctor would be the best to diagnose such headaches?
