After a four year long accident claim battle with a team of “experts” scrutinizing my medical records it would be nice to know what a doctor is putting in them, they are looking for preexisting conditions, just two examples, my son has a similar name and his Crohn’s problems were inadvertently put in my records, and even agreeing to try a psychotropic drug for CH’s infers psychological problems, in my case, this resulted in having to submit to a week long psychiatric evaluation, accidents are hell, I was clearly the victim, 23 witnesses stated that, but for the claim, you are the plaintiff which means you have the burden of proof, since the limit of liability was a fixed amount, the expenses for these evaluations came off that amount, meaning I got that much less plus having to agree to the evaluation and wasting my time to do so.
You may go to see some neurologist for CH treatment some 15 years ago and have it haunt you years later, just something to look out for, it’s my understanding that a patient is free to read their records at anytime, this may be good advice or could cost dearly in the future.
