I woke up with a "screamer" this morning. I have been alone with CH's for many years, until I found this board. I have studied CH's on my own, using only my data. I have often wonderd if it is not a living, sentient being. In, fact, I've told my wife that it often feels like something moving around in my head. I've tried every medication mentioned on this board, with a few exceptions. EVERY TIME I FIND SOME RELIEF, the headache "adjusts" to the medicine, and returns. I see that expressed on this board, "It worked for a while, but the headaches rebounded". How do you ever conquer an enemy that adjusts to your every move? How can a headache "adapt" to its environment? The other thing that is common to my life and this board is the recurring theme of "hopelessness". I guess it's the pain speaking.
