Received a copy of the article titled Topiramate Treated Cluster Headache
by Steve Wheeler, MD and Enrique Carrazana, MD.
This discusses the 10 patients who were treated with
Topamax for Cluster headaches. The article can be found
in Neurology, July 1999. Dosages used were:
50 mg/day 4 patients
100 mg/day 4 patients
125 mg/day 2 patients
For the 9 patients who achieved apparant relief, the latency
was 1 to 3 weeks.
As for me, two weeks in (1 week @ 75 mg, 1 wk @ 100mg) with
no relief. But I keep hoping and 2mg (yes,2) Immitrex shots
keep me sane.
