Hi, I am the wife of a CH sufferer. I just found this website and I am blown away! You are all saying the things that I have been hearing my husband talk about for years. Please know that I am heartbroken by the suffering that you endure. I have read many of your entries and your attitudes are astounding and humbling. From this day on you will be in my prayers. On to the good stuff: My husband is a cyclic headacher, not a chronic. He was just in a study using topomax. The topomax did cut down the number of headaches, but didn't work completely. Then he tried a combo of topomax and verpamil...instant relief! He got it from a doc in Denver, CO named Jack Klapper. Kinda sounds like the name of a nursery rhyme character, huh? Anyway the cocktail have stopped the headaches, but didin't end the cycle. When his is ready for another dose, if he doesn't take it, he can feel a headache sneaking up. Let me know if anyone else has tried topomax. Nice to meet all of you!
