Does Verapamil extend the cluster cycle?

I have been in the "cluster now for almost 3 months. I had not had a headache in 5 years befor this cluster came on. The last one did not last this long.
I've been on verapamil 80mg 3x per day and it seemed to help for a couple of weeks, but I had an attack at work today that freaked out my co-workers. They thought I was dying. It left me devastated for the rest of the day. Have you heard of Verapamil extending the length of the cycle?? Sometimes I feel like the beast must come out. Like there is a finite number of attacks that one must have no matter what.
Will it end?
