Dear Miguel,
Your clever attempt to advertise was spotted. For some reason, I have been resistant to the weather theory, but we did get a good rain the first night there. The passage of these fronts did roughly coincide with my the "gonna-be" attacks. I got introduced to a lady, early 40's, who has lived in the rain forest for the past 15 years who has CH. Her father is a MD from Chicago who purchased a lot of acreage in the rain forest and established a world-class spa/resort specializing in natural remedies. Among the more interesting treatments he has come up with is "viper rum" which is made from the neurotoxin from a certain poisionus snake found in the forest. It produces a hallucigenoic effect, which she claims is similar to STADOL-NS. It struck me as odd that she was so firm in her conviction that STADOL was a hallucigenic more than a narcotic. I hope to visit with the good doctor on my next trip, maybe in the next several weeks to learn more from him about these unorthodox treatments and his theories about CH in general. He has been treating his daughter her whole life and has spent some considerable time on her situation. BTW - Her parents are Carribean & Austrian, certainly one North of 45 degrees.
