I'm still good here from first week of Feb. First Feb March and April ha free in over twenty years.
Three important things with the anti-fungal approach.
Starve the yeast
Kill the yeast
Replace the yeast.
You've got to do all three at least for a while to give this thing an honest shot.
Replace with acidolphillus. as far as I know you can't OD.
Kill with an anti-fungal like lamisil or diflucan.
Sounds like lamisi might be cheaper. A 30 day dose daily was going to be 190 something here in Cincy.
Lamisil might also be the better bet with gut residual and wide spectrum.
Check them out on the RX links and decide for yourself. If you don't have a choice take either one. Diflucan has had a positive effect several here.
Starve the yeast. Yeast likes sugars and starches. If you're not sure what is and isn't, best bet might be to go on the Atkins Diet. He's a no-carbo guy who has written several good books. The diet works for loosing weight. I stayed on it for at least a couple of months some years back. No hunger. Lots of energy and I lost 45 pounds on top of it. He has food lists and recipes. One book by him is "The Super Energy Diet" A couple of weeks on it should be a breeze.
Also, no steroids! And you might consider going on the diet a few days ahead of the anti-fungals so they'll have a bigger impact.
Give it a week or two and re-introduce carbos back slowly with complex first. If it shows any improvement keep up with the acidolphillus and avoid heavy sugars. You might consider starch and dairy enzymes to help break them down better thus depriving any yeast that may be hanging on.
I'm talking Beano and Lactaid.
Baby the gut. Eat well and regular with good fiber. This won't fix itself over night. Don't go out and celebrate the first night you're ha free.
We've all messed around with the other stuff too long.
Do it right. It worked for me and it seems to have had a positive effect on everyone who has tried. Who knows maybe you'll be writing a plan for the next ones.
