Is keep fighting for it. Find an attorney who will take your case - and make sure you get a good one who doesn't collect unless you win.
I have applied twice and been rejected; currently awaiting the decision on my case from a judge in Missouri. My attorney said he thought the court hearing went well, but I was a bundle of nerves and hadn't slept in a couple of days - that whole day is a fog. Hopefully the judge will have mercy on me. This is basically my last hope, as I can no longer afford doctor visits or meds of any kind - and I am going out of my head dealing with pure pain. I cannot get a medical card unless I qualify for disability, and since I have not worked in almost two years, I have acquired enough debt to drown in up to my ears. My attacks fluctuate - but lets just say lately they have shown no mercy; been getting full-blown 10's lasting upwards over an hour, and I have nothing to help me deal with the pain!!!
It is a long hard road, especially if your in the same boat I am in. I am a single male - and according to the system - I do not even qualify as a real human being, therefore they feel less guilty about denying me medical attention.
The whole mess really sucks, but what can you do?
If you applied, was rejected, and your last attempt was an appeal of the first - demand for a hearing with a administrative law judge. I know several people have got SSI for thier condition; some had to fight for it, and then others were extremely lucky and were approved within a matter of weeks. The whole problem is that Clusters is so very well unknown.
Lets see what we can do to change public knowledge of CH...
