Mike, sometimes the very best thing a Doc can do is try until they hit hit the right medicine for you. I'll pray that this comes soon. Have your Doc try the medicines posted on this site before doing any experiments.
I had Stadol prescribed once also. About 3 years ago a journal reported that it may help CHA's. You were suposed to lay back with the head hanging over the bed and put a drop into your nose. What is suposed to happen is that the CHA site would become numb and you would be out of pain. It didn't work for me either. I got totally hammered, it felt a bit like being drunk and a bit like morphine. It did not help the CHA pain, however. The 1 med I know that can dull the pain a little is Lorcet 10/650. Even that can only take the edge off. The Imitrex works well for myself and many others here. You may want to have your Doc give you a 'shot' at that. Good luck and read through this site!
