I am not a whimp. This I know to be true, HOWEVER, twice this week my head sent me to the ER. The first time I was in pain for six days. My kids called my doc, who called me and told me to go if nothing else but to break the cycle. Today I was at a center for grieving children where my 140lb American Bulldog and I volunteer. For the first time ever I was hit with a pain that was like a bolt of lightening. I gave birth 3 times and never have I ever hurt so much as I did today. The people there are first rate. They drove me to the ER and took Butch home. When I got home they made me hot tea and waited around sort of numb. I don't think they have had much experience with CH. If you're unlucky enough to have to do this in public, it can work in your favor and you can collect supporters. Gee gosh golly, what a way to find a friend. Tomorrow the doctor, once again. I think I will ask about oxygen and imitrex shots. It is so unfair. Forty nine years and the worst was a pulled tooth. Now I'm a walking PDR.
Next in my quest for the alternative is a sensory depravation tank. I used to love them. For me they let me leave myself entirely and right now that's looking good. I'll let everyone know if it works as well as or better than the magnets. :-)
