I only know from this side of watching my husband, but Greg says he has had it a work too with nothing to take. The only thing he can suggest is if you have access to ice, put it on your temple. Barring that, run hot water as hot as you can stand in a sink in the bathroom and put your hands into it. He says that has help to ease it a bit for him when he's been at work. Vigorous excercise like a sudden burst of adreniline will sometimes help as well, or if he is very desperate and can manage it, a cigerette and strong cup of coffee, is about the best he can do at work. He says to tell you he knows just what your going through, the stares, the wierd looks the non understanding co-workers, the embarassment! He's there. He'd type this himself he says but by the time he found the first letter you would be old and gray!
