My step-daughter has just recently experienced pains in the temple area on the same side, occuring often in the evenings. The pain is not severe but piercing and annoying. I didn't know about the pains until I saw her pressing her fingers into the side of her head and felt a foredoom come over me. I put her on oxygen and the pain went away within a minute! My question: If an attack is aborted by oxygen, is that evidence of a cluster attack? I guess what I am asking is whether other types of head pains are alleviated by oxygen, or is the aborting effect specific to clusters? My son-in-law has migraines and oxygen does NOT abort or ease his pain. I know that oxygen does not work for all cluster sufferers, but then everyone does not use oxygen in a prescribed manner. It's a simple question, but I suspect there is no simple answer.
