Think about it. The only difference between time-released Verapamil and the regular kind, is the stablity of the dosage in your bloodstream. With time-released, whatever the dosage is, after a few days the medication reaches the appropriate level in your bloodstream, and is maintained there in a stable manner. With the regular Verapamil, the dosage keeps going up and down, fluctuating regularly. Which do you think is better on your CH...not to mention your heart, blood pressure, etc..? The only difference is that the time released TAKES LONGER to reach the appropriate level in your blood. But once it does, it's just as, if not more effective.
