It's been 21 months (seems much shorter than that) since my last cycle. But here I am right on schedule.
I am better prepared than before. Thanks to this site, I have my Verapamil and oxygen ready. I'm 47 and have had clusters since my early twenties. I am episodic with roughly 21 to 23 months in between cycles. Without the Verapamil I would usually have an attack every other day that would last 4 hours. Around 7:00 pm is prime time for an attack, though I do get a few in the middle of the night, and on occasion in the middle of the day. With Verapamil the attacks are sometimes 5 to 8 days apart and with oxygen I can sometimes abort those if I get to it fast enough (with-in 5 to 10 minutes of the onset). The greatest thing is...the oxygen works so well on those nocturnal attacks. I used to dread waking up with an attack. These would be some of the worst. I keep the oxygen tank beside the bed and can usually go back to sleep in 10 to 15 minutes. So....6 to 8 weeks from now it should be over. I hope.
