Dear Dan, My prayers are with you in hopes that you will find some relief. I suffer what has been classified as chronic/epidsodic. What that means is that I do not have more than one month in between cycles. But I have to say, that I am grateful for the week or two that I have cluster-free, and shudder to think of how I'd handle dealing with them every single day. I hope you will find something to give you relief. As for my suggestion; have you ever tried Oxygen therapy?
I have tried everything that I am able to in these past 24 years, and Oxygen therapy has been the only thing to provide any relief. Now I'm forced to simply hyperventilate myself, due to my less than adaquate HMO insurance, but you might want to suggest this to your physician. I've heard good things about Imitrex, although I am unable to use it. However as your clusters are chronic, I wonder if Imitrex could even be considered for you in that you'd have to use it every day. You'd have to take that up with your physician as well; any heart conditions would eliminate consideration of Imitrex as well. I hope I've been of some help to you. All my best to you for pain free days ahead.
