I have taken my son to some of the top Crohn's experts in the world and can't get straight answers to what causes this disease, some feel the immunity system attacks the bowel, I go in with my son for his colonoscopy's, the interior of his bowel looked like creators of the moon, he had a bad case two years ago where the Crohn's joined the inlet of his small bowel directly to his large bowel making a new path where the food just went it and out that quick, it also ruptured and I came to within 5 minutes of watching my son die, they just couldn't get blood in him fast enough, this is worse case, with some, and I pray for you daughter, the disease justs goes away, the latest research is on genetics, but that may take years, like clusters, Crohn's hasn't killed anyone, the major problem is keeping the victim from starving to death, but TPN prevents that, wish at times that our medical ills could be just a broken arm or something so you can go in and get it fixed, my son hates colonoscopy's, I promised the doctor that I would not pass out, and it helped my son just to hold his hand and comfort him. God Bless you.
