Hi Teleri,
I don't suffer from epilepsy (or at least have never had an attack of
that kind). My neurologist is now treating my Chronic CH with Eplim
(sodium valproate 200-400 mg three times a day), this is a drug normally
used to treat people with epilepsy, and it appears to be working for me.
I haven't had a CH for a couple of weeks now.. My neurologist said they
have had some success with this drug, but didn't go into detail about why
or how the drug works for CH sufferers when it was designed to treat
epilepsy.. Although the drug I take is not of the same name as yours, it
does share the common factor of treating epilepsy. Perhaps there is a
connection, DocGreg can you shed some light on this subject.???
Hope this information is of some use to you.
Wishing you freedom from the pain of CH.
Jonathan.
