Thank-you for posting that link.
I may be wrong, but I think I may have triggered your posting that link with my confession of 7 doses of Imitrex in a 24 hr period.
I should make it clear that even though the verapamil keeps my headaches from being a daily nightmare with no relief in sight, missing even a single dosage releases the "beast" with a vengeful fury of merciless torture. When this happens, I get BRUTAL attacks every 3-4 hours which last anywhere from 1-2 hours on average.
That pretty much puts me in agony 75% of the time.
The ONLY relief is the Imitrex. When I first took 4 doses in a 24 hr period, I approached my neuro on the matter. He said that as long as I did not encounter any serious side effects and as long as this did not occur too frequently, he could not see the harm in it. I was obviously more than a little worried when I reached 7. He repeated the same thing he said before, adding only that he thought I may hold a record. I was afraid I might go into convulsions and die after taking a triple overdose. He said that would not happen. And it obviously didn't. I did, however, experience chest pain and tightness as well as a pain in the area of my left kidney.
